NNBN is Northamptonshire’s biggest business networking and business support organisation. It is a membership organisation that helps businesses, charities and organisations across the county with one to one business support and mentoring, advertising and promotion, workshops and regular networking meetings in Northampton and Kettering, as well as running the NNBN Awards.
With that much going on, NNBN’s website has a lot of work to do, and when we started working with them it was spread across two separate websites.
Two websites, too many pages
NNBN had one website for the network itself and a separate website for the NNBN Awards. That meant two websites to pay for, two websites to keep up to date, and visitors and members having to jump between the two to find what they needed.
Over time the main website had also built up pages that were no longer needed, which made it harder for people to find the important things, like how to join, when the next networking meeting is and how to enter the awards.
What we did
We took over the NNBN website and moved it onto our pay monthly plan, then set about making it simpler:
- Combined the NNBN website and the NNBN Awards website into one website, so everything lives in one place under one address
- Removed the pages that were no longer needed, so the website is easier to find your way around
- Kept the membership, networking, events and awards information clear and easy to reach
- Looked after the hosting, security and backups for them
- Made all their changes each month, from new events and awards updates to member news
